The market in numbers

Where we work

Based in British Columbia. Working across Canada.

We know BC's public buyers, programs and markets closely, from municipal and provincial work to federal projects in the province. When an opportunity in another province or a federal program fits a client, we follow it there.

How we work

A clear method, whatever the mandate.

  1. 01

    Find

We look widely and early: tenders, businesses for sale, programs and gaps in the market.

  2. 02

    Qualify

We test each opportunity against your capacity, your goals and the rules, and tell you plainly whether it is worth pursuing.

  3. 03

    Win or structure

We build the submission, the deal or the plan to the standard it will be judged against.

  4. 04

    Deliver

We stay through award, closing or launch, and bring in the right professionals where they are needed.

Indigenous Nations and partners

Working with Indigenous Nations and the firms that partner with them

We prepare feasibility studies, plans and models for Nations and their development corporations, and help firms build genuine partnerships and credible participation plans for public work. We also support Nations acquiring established businesses and taking equity in projects.

Our principles

  • We say no early.

A clear no-bid or no-go decision saves more than a weak pursuit ever wins.

  • We write to the evaluation.

Evaluators, lenders and investors score against criteria. We start there, not with a brochure.

  • We keep your confidence.

We never name clients without their permission, and we take on one firm per tender.

BC procurement changes this fall: what bidders should act on

Five changes since mid-September affect how BC firms price, schedule, and manage public bids. Most need an hour of checking, not a new strategy.

Market sizing a lender will accept

A lender checks your market size claim by claim. This autumn's Statistics Canada releases mean many base numbers in BC plans now need a second look.
